In February 2026, Pouria Akbarighatar successfully defended his PhD thesis: Enacting Responsible AI in Organizations: A Sociotechnical Perspective. Pouria has been a member of the UiA Human-Centered AI research group since 2021 and continues his academic career at UiA as an Assistant Professor. The external assessment committee consisted of Professor Anuragini Shirish from Institute Mines-Télécom Business School, France and Professor Najmul Islam, from Lappeenranta Lahti University of Technology (LUT), Finland.
